Somebody got some new noise music, was it you? If not, go hide in the shame hole. Merzbow owns your brain, and my brain- which I’m told is more valuable than most.

I picked up Sphere – noise with percussion. Let that sink in a little bit. Discordant humming and groaning, with a rhythm. Fan fucking-tastic. I’m pretty sure that he played one of these tracks in Chicago when I saw him, if not more. Such good stuff, actually not that much of the shrieking ear doom like Whitehouse, and of course no stream of obscenities either. Which is good and bad, but different music for different moods… Also acquired: Frog. I’ve played it a few times, but my habit of playing music while doing other things means I really can’t give a solid impression of it yet. But it has such pretty colorful frogs on the packaging, and it’s 2 cd’s. WIN.
